Used Hyundai Verna Alternator
A failing alternator usually announces itself before it strands you: a battery warning light that comes on under load, dimming headlights at idle, or a whine that rises with engine speed. On a Verna that is out of warranty, a new OEM alternator is often a large fraction of what the car is worth, which is where a used OEM unit from a verified seller makes sense.

OEM part number
Hyundai alternator part numbers on the Verna generally begin with 37300-. The number is printed or stamped on the alternator body, usually near the mounting ear or on the rear cover. Sellers must photograph the label where it is legible, and state where a superseded number applies.
Most buyers do not have a part number, and that is fine. Vehicle details plus a photograph of the existing unit are enough for a seller who handles this model.
What a seller must document
- Visual inspection of the housing, mounting ears, pulley and connector for cracks, corrosion or previous repair
- Pulley and bearing assessment by hand for roughness, play or noise
- Free-wheel (overrunning) pulley check where the unit is fitted with one
- Bench test for charging output and regulator behaviour across the operating range
- Photographs of the actual unit, including the part number label
A bench test tells you the alternator charges correctly and the regulator behaves. It cannot predict remaining service life, and a used component is a used component — which is what the seller warranty is there for.
Condition
Sellers must describe housing condition, pulley and bearing condition, connector condition and any measured output. You see that, the photographs and the stated warranty before you decide.
Warranty
Sellers state the warranty they offer on every alternator bid, and Sasta Spares records it and enforces it. Note that fitting an alternator to a vehicle with a failed battery or damaged charging circuit will destroy a good unit and is not covered by anyone, so have the charging system checked as part of the job.
