The terms on which Sasta Spares sources and supplies used OEM automotive parts.
1. About us
Sasta Spares (Prashant Sathe), Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, operates www.sastaspares.com and sources and supplies used original equipment manufacturer (OEM) automotive parts.
2. Nature of the goods
Unless expressly stated otherwise, all parts supplied are used original manufacturer components removed from other vehicles. They are not new, and they are not remanufactured unless we describe them as such.
Used parts carry signs of prior service. Cosmetic marks, surface corrosion, discolouration and general wear consistent with age and use are normal and are not defects. We describe the condition of each part and supply photographs of the actual unit before sale.
3. Enquiries and quotations
Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract and does not commit you to a purchase. A quotation is an invitation to purchase on the terms stated in it, and is valid for the period stated or, if none is stated, for 7 days. Quotations are subject to the part remaining available.
4. Orders
A contract is formed when you confirm acceptance of our quotation and we acknowledge your order. We may decline an order, including after acceptance, where a part turns out to be unavailable, unsuitable, or not of a condition we are prepared to supply. In that event any amount paid is refunded in full.
5. Compatibility and vehicle information
We identify parts on the basis of the vehicle information you supply. It is your responsibility to give accurate details of the vehicle — including model, year, engine, variant and transmission — and to tell us of any modification to it.
Where you supply an OEM part number, we work to that number. Where you do not, we identify the part from the vehicle details and photographs supplied.
We do not represent that a part fits an entire model range. Compatibility is confirmed against the specification you supply.
6. Testing and validation
Parts are inspected and tested according to component type. The nature and extent of testing varies by component and is described on our testing and validation page and in your quotation.
We do not represent that every part is fully tested, or that testing establishes the remaining service life of a used component. Some components, including electronic control units, cannot be fully validated away from the vehicle.
7. Prices and payment
Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees and are as stated in your quotation, including applicable delivery charges. Applicable taxes are as stated. Payment terms are as set out in the quotation or invoice. Parts remain our property until payment has been received in full.
8. Delivery
Delivery arrangements, estimated timelines and charges are set out in the shipping policy. Delivery estimates are provided in good faith and are not guaranteed dates.
9. Installation
Parts must be installed by a competent mechanic or workshop using correct procedures, torque specifications and any related components or consumables that the job properly requires. You are responsible for ensuring that any underlying fault in the vehicle is diagnosed and rectified before a replacement part is fitted.
We do not carry out installation and accept no responsibility for installation work.
10. Warranty
Warranty-eligible parts are covered as set out in the warranty policy. Warranty eligibility is confirmed before purchase.
11. Returns
Returns and replacements are handled as set out in the return and replacement policy.
12. Liability
Our liability in connection with any part supplied is limited to the amount paid for that part. We are not liable for labour, diagnostic charges, recovery, loss of use of a vehicle, loss of earnings, or any other indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Intellectual property
The content, layout, photographs and branding of this website belong to Sasta Spares unless otherwise indicated, and may not be reproduced without permission. Vehicle manufacturer names, model names and part numbers are used solely to identify the application of a part. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by, or authorisation from those manufacturers.
14. Website content
Guides and technical information on this website are provided for general guidance. They are not a substitute for a proper diagnosis by a qualified mechanic on the vehicle itself.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
